Ultrasound imaging is a noninvasive medical test that helps physicians diagnose and treat medical conditions. World Association of Ultrasound in Combined Medicine is the premier multidisciplinary Association advancing the clinical practice of diagnostic medical ultrasound for the highest standards of patient care.
The purpose of WORLD ASSOCIATION OF ULTRASOUND IN COMBINED MEDICINE (WAUCM) is to promote and spared out the highest possible standards of medical ultrasound practice in United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, France, Germany, Russia, South Africa, .Malaysia and worldwide.
Diagnostic ultrasound is one of the most rapidly expanding branches of Combined Medicine. Technological developments permit higher resolution images to be obtained .High-power applications of ultrasound often use frequencies between 20 kH and a few hundred kH. Intensities can be very high above 10 watts per square centimeter, cavitations can be inducted in liquid media, and some applications use up to 1000 watts per square centimeter. Such high intensities can induce chemical changes or produce significant effects by direct mechanical action, and can inactivate harmful microorganism.
In july 2015, The Economist reported that researchers at the University of California, Berkeley have conducted ultrasound studies using grapheme diaphragms. The thinness and low weight of grapheme combined with its strength make it an effective material to use in ultrasound communications. One suggested application of the technology would be underwater communications, where radio waves typically do not travel well
WORLD ASSOCIATION OF ULTRASOUND IN COMBINED MEDICINE (WAUCM) faculty is all leading experts in the ultrasound profession. Offering many years of experience, our faculty have authored and co-authored numerous textbooks, articles, abstracts, and other publications relating to all ultrasound specialty topics and also research in diagnostic ultrasound; to lay down appropriate standards of practice; to provide certification indicating proficiency in ultrasound; to advise Government and Statutory Authorities on aspects of the practice of diagnostic ultrasound; and to provide social intercourse and good fellowship among practitioners
Several of the royal colleges include diagnostic ultrasound in their own area of interest, but only World Association of Ultrasound in Combined Medicine (WAUCM). WAUCM provides regular education in diagnostic ultrasound across all Disciplines. WAUCM has over 7000 members, 11 full-time staff, 8 part-time staff members and five hundreds of member volunteer positions on various Country and committees.
